Eurodiagnosis Corfu has been equipped, since the summer of 2024, with the state-of-the-art Siemens Healthineers Somatom go.Top 128-slice CT scanner. This advanced system incorporates the latest technology, delivering exceptional image quality and enhanced performance across a wide range of clinical applications, with the aim of providing high-level medical services.
Its key features include excellent image resolution, minimal radiation exposure, rapid scanning, and broad applicability across numerous clinical cases, including cardiac imaging of the coronary arteries.
Computed Tomography (CT) is a medical imaging examination that uses X-rays and computer technology to produce highly detailed images of the interior of the body, offering a three-dimensional visualization of internal structures. These examinations are particularly useful for detecting, diagnosing, and monitoring a wide range of conditions in various medical fields.
The following examinations are carried out in our laboratory:
- CT Scan of the Brain
- CT Scan of the Facial Bones
- CT Scan of the Neck
- CT Scan of the Temporal Bones and Auditory Canals
- CT Scan of the Chest
- CT Scan of the Upper and Lower Abdomen and Retroperitoneal Space
- CT Scan of the Musculoskeletal System (Cervical and Lumbar Spine)
- CT Scan of the Lower Limbs (Pelvis, Knee, Ankle, and Foot)
- CT Scan of the Upper Limbs (Wrist and Hand)

Additionally, we offer specialized examinations such as:
-
CT Angiography (CTA): For diagnosing stenoses, aneurysms, or other vascular conditions (e.g. cerebral, carotid, thoracic aorta, abdominal aorta, iliac arteries, and lower limb angiography).
-
CT Urography – Pyelography: For identifying and evaluating kidney stones and detecting obstructions in the ureters or other parts of the urinary system.
-
CT Leg Length Discrepancy Scan: For precise measurement of leg length differences with millimeter accuracy.
-
Coronary CT Angiography: A non-invasive test used to detect and assess stenoses or other abnormalities in the coronary arteries. It is commonly used to identify atherosclerotic plaque — the accumulation of lipids and other substances that lead to arterial narrowing or complete blockage. It is especially valuable when chest pain (angina) is suspected to be caused by coronary artery disease, when patients have risk factors such as hypertension, high cholesterol, family history of cardiovascular disease, smoking, or diabetes. It is also used for follow-up in patients with known cardiovascular conditions.
With cutting-edge technology and specialized examinations, Eurodiagnosi Corfu provides accurate and reliable diagnostics, enhancing the quality of the medical services we deliver.

-
Hydration: Drink plenty of water after the examination to help flush the contrast agent from your body.
-
Possible Side Effects: Administration of contrast material may cause temporary reactions, such as a warm sensation, metallic taste in the mouth, or mild nausea. These are usually mild and short-lived.
-
Watch for Allergic Reactions: If you experience any severe allergic reactions (e.g. rash, shortness of breath, significant swelling), notify the technologist immediately.
